Steel Cage Match Booked For WWE Payback

WWE Payback is going down on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Now, we have a big cage match on the card.

It was already confirmed on WWE RAW this week that Seth Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura. That was after Nakamura revealed what he told Rollins last week during RAW.

It was also revealed that Raquel Rodriguez will also get her Women’s World Title shot against Rhea Ripley at Payback. This was revealed as Raquel said she was cleared to compete once again.

During WWE RAW this week, they confirmed that Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus’ cage match will go down at Payback. That match was announced last week, but it wasn’t revealed where the match will go down.

This took place during a segment with Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus during RAW. Trish Stratus also took that opportunity to throw some shade at the Quebec crowd in French. Then she revealed that she is scared about her first cage match, but she still plans on killing it.

We will have to see how things turn out at WWE Payback. Trish Stratus might not be around for much longer, so we will have to enjoy the Stratusfaction while it lasts.
