WWE’s creative process can be complicated, and there are also many levels of approval that things need to pass as well. That being said, not everyone can have a story going at the same time. That seems to be the case for Nikki Cross.

WWE once pushed Nikki Cross to the RAW Women’s Title while she was almost a superhero. Since she won the WWE 24/7 Title, and subsequently trashed the belt, WWE hasn’t done much with Nikki Cross. This is in spite of the fact that they gave the Nikki Cross name back to her. Cross has openly wondered if her career in WWE can reach her previous heights, and she is not the only person asking that question.

Ringside News reached out to inquire about Nikki Cross’ situation. A tenured member of the creative team confirmed that “Nikki Cross is still at television tapings.” She is also not injured.

It was explained to us that, at this time, “there is no feeling either way on superhero, or any other character she’s played.” The simple fact is that “there are 16 segments on RAW, and 11 on SmackDown. There’s only so much room.”

Nikki Cross last wrestled on August 7th’s episode of Main Event. She had a singles match against Tegan Nox, which she won. It seems that she has received some time off from the ring since then, but Cross is still around.

It was previously reported that WWE doesn’t have any “positive plans” for Nikki Cross. It appears that her fans will have to keep waiting if they want to see her name on television again.

Nikki Cross has continued to pursue her quest in higher education in the meantime. She has also made it clear that she won’t have to take any time off from WWE to get her PH. D.

We will have to see what WWE has in store for Nikki Cross. She is still around, and ready for her next opportunity. The big question is how long that wait will be. Are you pulling for Nikki Cross to get another big break in WWE? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you’re thinking!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
