Sami Zayn has been working in WWE for a decade now and when it comes to perfecting storylines – Zayn truly was in a league of his own for a long time. His involvement in The Bloodline angle catapulted him to a level he had never reached before. That said, it appears the angle made him interested in pursuing acting.

Several WWE Superstars have become major stars in Hollywood, including the likes of The Rock, John Cena and Batista. What was once thought to be impossible is now becoming more commonplace for WWE Superstars.

While speaking on Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast, Sami Zayn talked about how The Bloodline storyline influenced him, adding that he is interested in pursuing a career in acting.

“The more I got to flex those chops a little bit with that storyline because of the level of depth and the range of emotions I got really bit by the bug,” Zayn revealed. “I was like, ‘This feels great I love it.’ I love wrestling stuff where I can really act more. In fact, I’d love to act, it kind of opened that door a little bit for me. It’s definitely something I’m interested in.

If I am genuinely just interested in pursuing the craft then it doesn’t need to be for Hollywood movies,” Zayn said. “I could do local theatre, that’s almost more intriguing to me in some ways. Genuinely learning the craft, is that really what I am interested in, or is there an egotistical component where I’m like, well I’d like to leverage this popularity from WWE and do shows that I am a fan of.”

With Kevin Owens still out of action due to a legitimate injury, it is not known what WWE will have planned for Owens and Sami Zayn as the Undisputed Tag Team Champions. We’ll have to see what will become of the two in the coming weeks.
