Fans were eagerly waiting for CM Punk’s return on the debut episode of Collision, as it marked the first time he appeared on AEW television since All Out last year. CM Punk has largely been appearing on AEW Collision and this week was no different. That said, Punk showed support to the writers taking part in the SAG-AFTRA strike during Collision this week.

The ‘real’ AEW World Champion is very outspoken and is never afraid of speaking his mind and letting others know what his stances are on everything that goes on in the world. He is a huge supporter of trans rights and the LGBTQ community in general.

During this week’s episode of AEW Collision, The Second City Saint came out to the ring as usual. However, he could be seen wearing a SAG-AFTRA On Strike t-shirt. The federation members are currently on strike against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers over meagre payment and lack of rights.

CM Punk and FTR also failed to defeat The House of Black for the AEW Trios Tag Team Titles due to interference from Samoa Joe. Joe then challenged Punk to a match at AEW All In and it is likely fans will get to see the match take place. We’ll have ot see how AEW will build their feud as we approach AEW All In on August 27th.
