Vince Russo is known in the pro wrestling business for lot of things, including his many creative achievements. He was around WWE and TNA for a long time, and he also saw himself in front of the camera as well. Russo is also one to throw out “bro” on a regular basis, something he’s been doing since he started in the business. It wasn’t lost on him that Matt Riddle took that “bro” catchphrase over.

Matt Riddle broke out in WWE, and is still on the show every week. He is still the Original Bro, and doing his thing, but Vince Russo certainly noticed that “bro” catchphrase.

While speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Vince Russo addressed Matt Riddle using the bro catchphrase, and it doesn’t seem like he minds it much, since Riddle uses it differently. That being said, Russo also had advice for Matt Riddle if he wants to keep wrestling for years to come.

He’s the Johnny-come-lately with the ‘bro.’ He’s more like the dude from Fast Times at Ridgmont High. I do like Riddle, even though I think he needs to slow down, or he’s not gonna be walking at 40.

It seems that Vince Russo is okay with Matt Riddle using “bro,” and it’s a good thing as well. There is really nothing that Russo can do about it, especially considering how WWE has sold a lot of bro merchandise over the years.

Hopefully, WWE will keep selling Matt Riddle merchandise for years to come. Vince Russo certainly seems happy about the idea of seeing Riddle do big things in WWE, even if he doesn’t get credit for that “bro” catchphrase.
