Bray Wyatt was on the road to WrestleMania 39, but his match against Bobby Lashley was abandoned when Wyatt vanished from television. Now, there is a bit of news about his return to the ring.

WWE has been tight-lipped about Bray Wyatt’s status. At this point, he is not medically cleared, and waiting for that time on the bench to end. Fans will have to wait in the meantime for that return to come to pass.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that there is some good news for Bray Wyatt’s status. At this time, his undisclosed illness might be better, although the company is taking a lot of extra precautions for him.

Fightful has learned that Bray Wyatt is finally getting “closer” to clearance after almost six months without it. Wyatt has battled an illness that we won’t disclose, and the company and Wyatt have been taking extra precautions to make sure that his long-term health is accounted for.

Of late, we’ve confirmed that Wyatt isn’t actively cleared, but those we’ve spoken to claim that he’s getting closer, and that there have been some creative ideas presented. One source indicated that some ideas were even mentioned for September, however that won’t mean anything if he doesn’t get that clearance.

It was also reported that there, “were ideas for Wyatt to be integrated with Alexa Bliss, Eric Young and Uncle Howdy/Bo Dallas. However, after Bray Wyatt was sidelined, Alexa had maternity leave and Eric Young requested and was granted his WWE release.”

That report coincides, and backs up Ringside News’ exclusive report from July that said, “Eric Young’s creative in WWE would have likely put him in a pretty significant spot within the company. There were ideas. But they weren’t for Eric Young. They were for Bray. And Bo. Eric was under consideration. There were also pitches for Alexa Bliss to join before her maternity leave, which were nixed when it was obvious she wouldn’t be around for all of 2023.”

We also exclusively reported that Bray Wyatt has not been seen backstage in WWE. We can only hope that status changes very soon.

Bray Wyatt is still living his life at home with JoJo Offerman and his children. He is hopefully doing much better, and nearing the time when his WWE return becomes a reality. That being said, fans will have to keep waiting for that to happen.
