During a backstage scene, there seems to have been a hint at a potential new WWE tag team name, although the team didn’t get much opportunity to discuss it.

In the midst of The Schism’s ongoing campaign against the Creeds, they briefly diverted from their mission to engage in an unrelated conversation. As Tank Ledger proposed tag team names to Hank Walker, he suggested “Smash Mouth” as a suitable option. Hank attempted to point out that the name might already be in use, possibly by a 90s band, but before he could elaborate, The Schism intervened.

Ultimately, the Dyad took offense at Tank and Hank’s reluctance to divulge the whereabouts of the Creeds. This was triggered when “Smash Mouth” remarked positively on the Creeds’ green screen segment from the previous week. The Dyad’s attack resulted in the medical team withdrawing Tank and Hank from their scheduled match against Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey later that night. In a subsequent backstage interview, the resilient technicians, Gulak and Dempsey, criticized Hank and Tank for being pulled out of the match due to minor injuries.

In the midst of these developments, Damon Kemp approached Gulak and Dempsey, seeking to align with them. Despite Kemp’s efforts, they remained unimpressed. However, Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs stepped forward and offered to take the place of Hank and Tank in the match, aiming to demonstrate their toughness and prove that nobody in NXT is more resilient than they are.

We will have to see what happens in the future, because you never know what can happen in NXT. After all, the company’s developmental brand has a lot of things going at the same time. Please leave your comments below to let us know what you’re thinking!
