CM Punk is currently showing his support for the transgender community, but an older quote from his past has resurfaced. There’s no doubt about CM Punk’s current stance on transgender matters, but now an offensive term he used in the past has come to light.

While opinions on CM Punk vary, recent remarks have raised concerns about his attitude towards the LGBTQ+ community. A lot of people have things from their past that they’d like to keep hidden, and this clip could be like that for the Second City Savior.

An old clip from his time in WWE has emerged, revealing him using a derogatory term. This incident stands in stark contrast to his involvement in the new trans pride merchandise released by AEW, which prominently features a trans pride flag.

In this old clip, CM Punk is seen during his WWE run, complete with a mustache, calling a fan “a homo.” This was shared a lot after the new trans pride merchandise dropped, and it’s gaining steam. This is an old clip, but CM Punk apologized about 12 years ago after it first dropped.

The unveiling of this AEW t-shirt coincided with the re-emergence of the clip where Punk used the offensive language. That was no mistake. It still gave fans a totally different reason to tweet about CM Punk on a Tuesday.
