WWE’s biggest party of the Summer is coming up on Saturday, but the card is light on one match that many fans were expecting. Rhea Ripley doesn’t have a match for her Women’s World Title yet, although a challenger is waiting in the wings.

Adam Pearce told Raquel Rodriguez during WWE RAW this week that she will get a match against Rhea Ripley for her title when she is cleared. That being said, she wasn’t cleared by RAW on Monday to get a spot on the Ford Field card.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Raquel Rodriguez’ match against Rhea Ripley might still be added to the SummerSlam card. That being said, the match could have been removed for time constraints, because a couple of matches were moved for that reason.

They could clear her and add it on the day of the show, but I will say that there is a time constraint. I was told that was part of the reason why some of these matches that were originally part of the show are off is because they have a time limit on the show, which I’m gonna guess is 3 1/2 to 4 hours.

It was noted that WWE “left it open” for Rhea Ripley to defend her WWE Women’s World Championship whenever Raquel Rodriguez is cleared to take her on. With SummerSlam coming up, a few fans are still expecting that Raquel will have a miraculous recovery by August 5th. It was also noted that Raquel’s injury is storyline and not legit.

Raquel Rodriguez and Rhea Ripley have been teasing a match for a while. Although SummerSlam was thought to be the landing pad for that encounter, WWE has other events they could place that match on to draw a lot of attention as well.

SummerSlam is bound to be an exciting event, just as it is every year. For more on this story, and many more in the pro wrestling world, please stay tuned with us here at Ringside News. Also, leave those comments below to let us know what you’re thinking!
