Carmelo Hayes made a great name for himself in NXT, and Trick Williams was by his side in a big way the entire time. This week on NXT, the two went through quite an emotional segment.

Carmelo Hayes successfully defended the NXT Title at the Great American Bash, and that was a huge win in Texas. Trick Williams told Carmello before the event that he would have to leave his side and do his own thing after that match.

This week on NXT, Trick Williams made it clear that the time has come for him to step out on his own. Trick said that he will always be Hayes’ ride or die, but he has to do his own thing now.

Carmelo Hayes seemed to understand this decision, and the two will still be allies on WWE television. Only time will tell what is next for those two, but it seems that they will do things separately for now.

What’s your take on this? Will Trick Williams pick up championship gold on his own? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you’re thinking!
