Bobby Lashley, a two-time WWE Champion, is a highly regarded figure in the company. His current WWE run is his most successful to date, as the company has finally fully utilized his immense talent and dominance. Now it appears Lashley really wants a match with Batista.

In 2000, Batista joined WWE as part of their Ohio Valley System developmental program. He honed his skills there for two years, where he trained alongside future legends such as John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and Randy Orton.

Batista’s final match was against Triple H at WrestleMania 35, where he would lose to The Game. While speaking on the Perform Podcast, Bobby Lashley was asked about a potential match with Batista. Lashley stated that he believes a match with The Animal would be big Box Office.

“I love where Dave is and I never try to drum up any controversy or any kind of friction. Dave is definitely somebody I would love to have a match with. It would be something that would do some huge box office numbers. Dave, since he’s left WWE, his whole entire career has exploded to another level. Of course you want to bring somebody like him back. If we can, I know it would be a great match up. I never say that one person is going to win in a competition like that. I’m always betting on myself, but at the end of the day, the fans would win that.”
