WWE is always evolving and that can call for plans changing at a moment’s notice, especially when there is a worry about COVID-19, after all the pandemic really isn’t over yet. They had an issue like that on SmackDown last week, and that called for some quick thinking.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that the Charlotte Flair vs IYO Sky match on SmackDown was not supposed to take place. In fact, it was literally thrown together at the last minute.

That match was thrown together at the end. There were a couple of people who were scheduled for the show who did not appear for, in some cases, for COVID-related reasons. Maybe not had COVID, but they were around it, so COVID reasons, and the show was changed. Charlotte and IYO Sky was a late replacement, because that was not the original plan.

We will have to see what WWE does next time they are in a crunch, because this kind of thing can always pop up. After all the card is always subject to change, and it’s anyone’s guess what can happen in WWE next.

WWE puts on a live television broadcast, and the show must go on. Hopefully, whatever COVID related problems there were do not persist, because the company has a lot of things going on and changing plans is never something they want to do.

What’s your take on these changed plans? Were you happy to see Charlotte Flair vs IYO Sky anyway? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you’re thinking!
