Dominik Mysterio never had a run in NXT, because he jumped right to the main roster. Things changed this week as Rey Mysterio’s son made a big splash in the company’s developmental brand.

NXT ended this week with a North American Title match. Dominik Mysterio faced off against Wes Lee in a match that saw a few interesting twists.

In the end, Dominik Mysterio won the NXT North American Title match. This was done in controversial fashion, but Judgment Day wouldn’t have it any other way.

NXT hasn’t seen much from Dominik Mysterio yet, but odds are giving him the North American Title will help boost the brand. If anything, it will ensure that Dominik Mysterio returns to NXT for, at least, another match or two.

Wes Lee was already slated to defend the NXT North American Title against Mustafa Ali at the Great American Bash on July 30th. It appears that Dominik Mysterio will take Wes Lee’s spot in that match right now.

We will have to keep our eyes on this story, here at Ringside News. Obviously, this is a very new development. Please sound off by using the comments below!
