Cody Rhodes Called The Biggest Babyface In Pro Wrestling

Cody Rhodes is one of the biggest Superstars in WWE right now and it was been building up since his return at WrestleMania 38 last year. Rhodes is clearly incredibly over and that was apparent for a long time now. Now it appears he was called the biggest babyface in pro wrestling today.

Cody Rhodes’ dreams were ruined after he was unable to defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, despite his best efforts. Right after that, he began feuding with Brock Lesnar, which got reignited this week on RAW.

At the WWE Money In The Bank Premium Live Event, Cody Rhodes squared off against Dominik Mysterio in a singles match. Naturally, he got a ton of cheers after defeating Mysterio.

While speaking on the latest edition of the Jim Cornette Experience, the wrestling veteran talked about Cody Rhodes’ current run in WWE and stated that The American Nightmare is the biggest babyface in the pro wrestling world right now.

Cody got a huge ovation [in London], he’s the biggest babyface in the wrestling business now. And that just also shows you how quick things can turn around. He was a babyface in AEW and the fans were booing him. And now he’s the biggest babyface in the biggest [wrestling] company in the world… It’s the same guy but it’s the presentation. You know, it’s the same product but you’re getting a negative reaction because of the way you’re marketing it in one place and it’s selling like gangbusters in the other place.

With SummerSlam less than 5 weeks away, WWE has already made big plans for Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar’s feud. We’ll have to wait and see how WWE will book their feud in the coming weeks.
