John Cena wasn’t expected, or booked, for Money in the Bank, but that didn’t stop him from showing up. Cena felt the electricity from fans in the O2 Arena as he proclaimed that London should get a WrestleMania event. It appears that Wembley Stadium could be the destination for that show, and AEW All In London might have something to do with it. That being said, a lot of fans had questions about John Cena’s status now.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that John Cena’s WWE Money in the Bank appearance was a surprise one-off deal. There are no immediate plans for him to return to television again at this time.

Dave Meltzer further noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that John Cena had to fly back immediately after Money in the Bank to shoot for a movie he’s currently involved with. That being said, WWE fans shouldn’t expect to see Cena again for a while.

John Cena has one high-profile project after another, but WWE will always be his home. Only time will tell when John Cena wrestles again, but if WrestleMania comes to London, you can probably bet he will do everything he can to be on that card.
