Fans were eagerly waiting for CM Punk’s return on the debut episode of Collision, as it marked the first time he appeared on AEW television since All Out last year. It turned out to be a major success, but there are still those who believe Punk will cause issues in AEW.

CM Punk drew the ire of fans and pro wrestlers alike thanks to his rant after AEW All Out last year and the subsequent backstage brawl with The Elite. This truly changed the course of AEW in numerous talent ways.

CM Punk defeated Satoshi Kojima in the Owen Hart Cup tournament at the Forbidden Door Event. While speaking during the post-event media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan was asked why CM Punk wasn’t appearing on the scrum.

Tony Khan stated that The Second City Saint is a “positive influence on the company” and that he wasn’t booked for the scrum this time. Khan stated he has been doing media and has been doing great, adding that he would be happy to have CM Punk be at a scrum again in the future.
