WWE is putting an extra focus on their NXT brand, with main roster talent coming down all the time to mix it up with the Superstars of tomorrow. Now, it seems we know about another Superstars who is under consideration to make that jump.

Seth Rollins just competed on NXT with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. That match against Bron Breakker drew nearly 1 million fans for their 8-minute overrun.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that WWE is considering Ronda Rousey as their next top Superstar to take a trip to NXT. That could certainly help pop a rating for their Tuesday night show.

There are plans for more major stars to work NXT like Rollins did this week. One name that was at least talked about was Rousey, or perhaps even having Rousey & Baszler defend the women’s tag titles there. But the goal is to use the main roster stars to increase the ratings, and the Rollins experiment was a huge success, so when something works in wrestling the idea is that you usually follow up on it.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are set to take on Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre in a Women’s Tag Team Championship unification match this week on SmackDown. Only time will tell who walks out of the blue brand with both sets of titles.

We will have to see what WWE has planned for Ronda Rouse on NXT. Obviously, they want to continue bringing attention to their developmental brand, and Rousey’s involvement could certainly help bring attention to the brand.

What’s your take on Ronda Rousey possibly going to NXT? Sound off in the comments!
