The WWE is full of talented Superstars who have competed in various companies over the years before calling WWE their home. That said, a lot of talent have also left the company for various reasons. This includes Matt Cardona, as many people believe he will finally return to WWE soon enough. Now it appears Cardona was brutally ripped by Bully Ray recently.

In case you did not know, Matt Cardona was known as Zack Ryder during his time in WWE. He didn’t break the glass ceiling there and was unable to truly break out as a star there. He was eventually released by WWE in 2020 and went on to become the Indy God in the independent circuit.

A video clip recently surfaced on Twitter, which showed the return of Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley to WWE Raw on August 24, 2015. The user noted how massive reception they got. However, Matt Cardona claimed that he saw the return on the monitor and that The Dudleys didn’t get a loud pop.

“I was in the locker room watching on the monitor. It was the opposite reaction!!!”

Bully Ray saw Matt Cardona’s tweet and didn’t take too kindly to what he had to say. Ray chose violence as he took to Twitter and brutally ripped Cardona, stating that the latter was watching from the monitor for the majority of his career.

“You’ve spent the majority of your career ‘watching on the monitor.’

Matt Cardona and Bully Ray will face off against each other at the Battleground Championship Wrestling’s Legends Never Die show on July 1st. We’ll have to see who will come out on top in the match.
