Fuego Del Sol Confirms AEW Departure

Fuego del Sol has not been one of the most successful AEW wrestlers when it comes to win-loss record. The undersized underdog often shows heart, but since finally earning his AEW contract, he always seems to lose no matter what. Now it appears Del Sol has confirmed his AEW departure.

Fuego Del Sol made his way to AEW a couple of years ago and was largely seen as enhancement talent. However, his feud with Miro ultimately helped him secure a contract and become an official member of the AEW roster.

However, with AEW moving towards a new direction and with more and more top stars getting signed, there was simply no more room for someone like Fuego Del Sol to compete in AEW.

Fuego Del Sol was also out of action due to foot injury and underwent surgery for the same back in March. Del Sol took to Twitter and uploaded a video, where he confirmed his AEW contract will expire on July 1st and that he is now taking independent bookings as he is now cleared to compete again.

Though this chapter is coming to a close, this is just the beginning for Fuego Del Sol.
