Andrade El Idolo Finally Linked Up With CM Punk Backstage At AEW Collision

Andrade El Idolo came with a lot of expectations for AEW and fans were excited to see what he could accomplish in the company. As it turns out, he didn’t reach the level of success fans wanted him. That said, he had a superb return at AEW Collision and even managed to link up with CM Punk backstage as well.

The Mexican star finally returned on the debut episode of AEW Collision and squared off against Buddy Matthews in a thrilling contest. This was a rematch from their time in WWE and fans were treated to an excellent match. In the end, Andrade El Idolo won the match using Charlotte Flair’s Figure 8. 

The show was also headlined by CM Punk, who cut a solid promo and addressed a lot of issues. He would then compete in a six-man tag team match in the main event of the show as well.

The Mexican star had previously made it clear that he couldn’t wait to meet up with CM Punk at AEW Collision. As it turns out, that is exactly what happened as Idolo took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of himself meeting up with CM Punk.

Charlotte Flair also reacted to Andrade El Idolo’s big win. Now it remains to be seen how AEW will be booking Andrade El Idolo now that he is back and ready for whatever the future holds for him.
