WWE has their eye on the entire pro wrestling world, and that includes AEW. They are also well aware of who is under contract with other companies, and they do not want to tamper at all.

We recently reported that WWE does not want to tamper with AEW contracts. The last thing they need is a lawsuit from AEW to stick. That being said, they also know how to play the contract game.

A recent report came out that said WWE higher-ups are very interested in Hook. This report explicitly named Triple H and Shawn Michaels as having interest in signing Taz’s son to a WWE deal.

Ringside News reached out to confirm this story about WWE’s interest in Hook. A tenured member of the WWE team confirmed to us that Hook is under AEW contract, and his name has not come up one time in any conversation.

“Hook is under contract to AEW, and his name has never come up, not even one time in any conversations. Any reports of ‘interest in Hook’ are fake news.”

Hook is the current FTW Champion, a title that his father made famous. He is also having a good time in AEW, even though his character doesn’t smile. We have not heard how long his AEW deal is for, but it appears that WWE has not expressed any interest at this time.

WWE could have their eyes on a few top AEW contracts that are running up. The idea of WWE’s interest in each member of The Elite, as well as MJF, is well known. Only time will tell how this situation pans out, but it appears that Hook is safe in AEW right now.

What’s your take on WWE’s reported interest in Hook? Would it be a good idea to sign him? Sound off in the comments!
