Fans were eagerly waiting for CM Punk’s return on the debut episode of Collision, as it marked the first time he appeared on AEW television since All Out last year. A lot happened during his appearance on the show and it appears Punk had more to say after the show concluded.

CM Punk started the show with a long promo where he addressed a lot of things. The Second City Saint made it clear that he is not giving back the AEW World Championship, which he never lost.

CM Punk and FTR also competed in the main event, in what was a hard hitting contest. Punk’s team would win in the end. After the show went off the air, CM Punk decided to cut a promo on the crowd in attendance.

CM Punk talked about his past ice cream purchase for his original Chicago AEW debut and added he might have done the same again for Collision. He then explained why didn’t do it.

“except I thought you all hated me, but we’re coming back soon. Don’t worry. You better hope that I don’t hate you before then.” [laugh]

CM Punk went on to acknowledge a sign from the AEW Collision crowd that said “Support Trans Kids,” and revealed to the crowd that he supports trans kids, adults, LGBTQ, “everybody” because he recalls when he was young, he didn’t feel like he fit in anywhere but it was because of the clothes he wore, his hair and the music he liked.

“I want everybody to be themselves, just do no harm to anybody else. Thank you. I love you.”

CM Punk’s AEW return was a resounding success for many and now it remains to be seen how The Second City Saint will be booked in the coming weeks, as fans are glad to see him back.
