Former ROH World Champion Rush signed a contract with AEW after various appearances last year. Since then, he has proven to be a solid addition to Tony Khan’s company. That said, it appears that he has parted ways with AAA.

Despite appearing for AEW, Rush had been an active competitor in AAA for a long time. Luchablog took to Twitter and revealed that Rush announced on his Facebook page that he and his father La Bestia del Ring have quit AAA.

They added that they are returning to the independent circuit. Rush was scheduled to team alongside LA Park against Psycho Clown and Sam Adonis at TripleMania 31 in Tijuana, with the losing team set to square off against each other in a Mask vs Hair match at TripleMania Mexico City.

Rush further then told his tag team partner, LA Park, that until a promoter gives them a contract, he will not believe anything is real. Rush concluded by saying that he is fed up with empty promises.

“For the second time, my father (Bestia del Ring) and RUSH are out of AAA. We are completely independent!

Adolfo Tapia Ibarra (LA Park), you and I don’t need a roulette nor any tomfoolery, and the people are not dumb. The day a real promoter sits down with us and they give us a contract to sign, then that is when you, the fans, and myself will know it’s real.

Only until then, everything else will be “promises” & I am fed the f*** up”

Rush last appeared on the May 26 episode of AEW Rampage, where he teamed with Dralistico and Preston Vance, and they lost to Acclaimed and Billy Gunn. We’ll have to see what the future holds for Rush.
