AEW is in competition with way more than just WWE. As a television program, the company must be aware of all competing shows, and next week’s loaded episode of Dynamite is a strategic move.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that AEW is throwing everything they can at next week’s episode of Dynamite for a reason. They don’t have the competition that they normally do, so Tony Khan wants to make as much noise as possible.

AEW is loading up the 6/14 show, which is the first show starting the summer season with no Vanderpump, no NBA playoffs and no NHL playoffs, so AEW has a shot at being No. 1 for the night like it was last year.

It was further noted that those matches on next week’s loaded AEW Dynamite includes, “MJF vs. Adam Cole in a non-title match meaning if Cole wins, he gets a title shot, and under those stips, he absolutely should win. Young Bucks & Adam Page vs. Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta, Toni Storm defends the women’s title against Skye Blue and Sting & Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy & Keith Lee face Swerve Strickland & Brian Cage & Bishop Kuan & Toa Liona.”

AEW is doing everything they can to draw an audience to their television shows. Only time will tell if they will be able to pop a decent rating next week for Dynamite, but they are certainly throwing everything they can at the situation.
