Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns’ storyline in WWE evolved from literally a recurring gag on SmackDown. Everything snowballed into something that fans were very invested in. Now, we are seeing the results of that feud as things panned out in dramatic fashion on WWE television.

During a conversation on the After The Bell podcast, Sami Zayn shared his perspective on the significant contribution he made to the Bloodline narrative. He expressed his belief that they unintentionally discovered the future of storytelling in professional wrestling.

While speaking to the podcast, Sami Zayn said, “I think this is hopefully the template for what really quality storytelling could be down the road in this industry.”

Sami Zayn went on to further discuss the Bloodline’s saga, which he was a huge part of. This storyline seems to be paused for him right now, but the book may not be 100% closed.

“You can have different versions of it, hopefully, but I think people aspire to do these long drawn out, artistic, very emotional with clearly defined characters, and I think that’s the future. I think because of the success, if nothing else, that’s what people will aspire to achieve,” Zayn said. “I don’t think anyone will in quite the same way, but here’s hoping that someone does something even better one day.”

We will have to see how WWE books Roman Reigns’ story in the months to come. With such an impressive run, a WrestleMania 40 main event match is seemingly already on the horizon for the Tribal Chief.

Keep checking back with Ringside News for more on this, and every other story, in the pro wrestling world. Obviously, things could take a turn at any moment, so fans need to stay on their toes right now.
