AEW has a few plans in motion, and CM Punk is involved in a lot of them over on the new yet-to-debut Collision show. Now, we have some possible spoilers on what’s to come.

In the latest edition of the SRS Backstage Report, Sean Ross Sapp said behind Fightful’s paywall that AEW has some ideas in place for CM Punk’s AEW return. Fans might even see a new stable.

The outlet shared some potential matchups and opponents for CM Punk’s first program in AEW after his highly anticipated return to the promotion on the premiere episode of AEW Collision. Sapp revealed that one idea being considered is for Punk to team up for a faction with FTR to face Bullet Club Gold, as Punk has developed a liking for both Jay White and Juice Robinson.

Additionally, Sapp confirmed previous reports of strong suggestions for CM Punk to work with Chris Jericho and Samoa Joe. There are obviously a few ideas on the table.

CM Punk’s last appearance in an AEW ring was in September 2022 at All Out, where he won against then-AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. However, Punk was later stripped of the title.

CM Punk also suffered an injury during that match, even before how blow up at the media scrum after All Out. This injury has kept him sidelined for the past eight months. The premiere of AEW Collision is scheduled for June 17th at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

We will have to see how CM Punk’s AEW return pans out. They obviously, have plans in motion, and it’s only a matter of time before we see exactly what happens.
