Shayna Baszler Shoots Down Claim That Ronda Rousey Demanded WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Run

Shayna Baszler has been part of the WWE family for quite a few years now and has won championship gold numerous times. She is currently one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and it appears Baszler shot down a claim regarding Ronda Rousey as well.

After a brief hiatus following WrestleMania 39, Ronda Rousey returned again and set her sights on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. She and Shayna Baszler defeated three other teams on RAW this week in order to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, much to the dismay of fans.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler becoming the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions was actually supposed to happen at WrestleMania 39, but plans were delayed due to Ronda Rousey’s injury.

Shayna Baszler recently shed some light on her partnership with Ronda Rousey. In a tweet, it was claimed that Ronda Rousey demanded she and Baszler become the champions. Baszler took to Twitter and shot down the claim, adding that Rousey only demanded they be teamed up together.

Twisting my words. The demand was to team together. That’s it. Full stop.

WWE could still be planning to split up Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler in the future. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how WWE will be booking their tag team title run.
