Will Ospreay is regarded as one of the best pro wrestlers of the last decade, as he had incredible matches in many promotions in the world. His awe-inspiring performances during the past few years have propelled him to the top of the industry. That being said, it appears that he doesn’t care if he never competes at WrestleMania.

Will Ospreay continues to make his mark all over the world, as his stock rises with every single match. After all, Will Ospreay has managed to battle with the best of the best the business has to offer, honing his craft every time.

While speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Will Ospreay discussed his goals for the future and where he stands in the highly competitive world of professional wrestling.

The New Japan star admitted that while he would more than love to compete in front of 80,000 people at WrestleMania, he does not necessarily care if he never gets to do that in his career.

“Not like in that sense of this but like, of course I would love to wrestle in front of 80,000 people who wouldn’t want to wrestle? But like, in the same sense of, I’m not going to lose sleep if I never do it. But you know what I mean? Like I never wanted to get to this level of fame with wrestling. I just enjoyed doing it on the weekends. And New Japan offers me a lot of money, and I was just like ‘Whoa, I can make money from this.’

Here’s the thing I told you this, but like WWE, TNA and New Japan were on the table at the same time. And like the selling point in New Japan was that I get to come home. WWE, I have to move there, TNA, most likely the same thing and it wasn’t guaranteed money. In New Japan, I get to come home. And I’m a real home guy. So like the fact that I’ve got to come home was like, incredible.”

Will Ospreay was pulled out of the New Japan Cup back in March due to a shoulder injury, but eventually returned to the ring. That said, he is still suffering from shoulder issues even now. We’ll have to see whether he will compete at AEW’s Forbidden Door event next month.
