NJPW star Chase Owens took to Twitter to share the news of his knee injury, revealing that he will be taking time off to allow for proper healing and avoid the need for surgery. Owens mentioned that this is the first time in his 18-year wrestling career that he will have to take time off due to an injury.

In his tweet, Owens expressed his disappointment about having to break his streak of consecutive wrestling years. He acknowledged the advice of his physical therapist, who recommended taking time off to ensure a proper recovery. Owens concluded by assuring his fans that he will be back in action soon.

“18 years I’ve been wrestling consecutively without having to take time off. That unfortunately ends this week as I have had a injury to my knee and my physical therapist told me to take some time off to properly heal to avoid surgery. See ya guys soon!”

Owens’ most recent match for NJPW took place at the April Collision event in Philadelphia. He has been a loyal member of the Bullet Club since 2015 and re-signed with NJPW in February 2022.
