AEW has a lot of exciting stars on their roster, but they inked deals with another tag team this week. Aussie Open is now All Elite, but they can’t tag together on television until both members are healthy.

Aussie Open might have signed deals with AEW, but Mark Davis isn’t able to compete. Mark Davis of Aussie Open had arthroscopic surgery on his knee to repair a torn meniscus very recently. That could cause an issue for AEW’s hot new tag team.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Mark Davis’ injury will not be healed in time for Forbidden Door next month. That being said, they will probably have to wait until an even bigger show in August.

So, Mark Davis, the way the timeline looks, unless he’s back in a miraculous amount of time from surgery, the FTR and Aussie Open match, that won’t make it to Forbidden Door. You know, that could easily go to Wembley.

It was noted that, while Aussie Open are not from the UK, they have established themselves in the UK pro wrestling scene. That could generate the needed connection with fans to really draw a response during All In London.

We will have to see what AEW decides to do with all of their titles in the months to come. With AEW Collision coming at fans in June, anything could be on the table at this point.

What’s your take on FTR’s reign as AEW World Tag Team Champions? Sound off in the comments!
