Zelina Vega returned to WWE last year after she was let go by the company back in 2020 for violating their mandates on third-party sites as she opened an OnlyFans account. While she is one of the most beloved stars in WWE right now, that doesn’t mean Vega will let things slide if she gets hurt. It appears that Vega even gave Mercedes Mone a receipt for almost injuring her.

Zelina Vega’s career got a major shot in the arm after joining Legado Del Fantasma last year. Now part of the newly re-introduced Latino World Order, fans have been firmly behind Vega in a big way.

Before all this, Zelina Vega used to be part of a tag team with Carmella, and they eventually went on to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. During that period, they used to feud with Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair.

While speaking on Wrestling With Freddie, Zelina Vega recalled the time Mercedes Mone hit a Meteora on her, which made Vega feel like her orbital bone broke. Due to this, she gave a receipt to Mone during the 2022 Royal Rumble, where she kicked Mone very hard.

“There was a point back when Sasha had just come out to save Bianca from Carmella and I. She had hit me with the Meteora and dude, I felt like my orbital bone broke. I was like, oh my God. Of course, she was super apologetic and whatever, but then I was like, girl you got a receipt coming. I was so mad. She’s like, okay, cool, whatever. Royal Rumble happens and I knew I was gonna eliminate her and I was like, this is my moment. I think I kicked the soul out of her. I kicked her so hard. She flew back and she landed on the floor. I see her just shaking her head and I knew she knew that was what I was waiting for. Of course, we were fine afterwards and it was funny, but I remember Rhea going, ‘She was waiting for that one.’ Yep, that’s the one.”

Zelina Vega was unable to defeat Rhea Ripley for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at WWE Backlash but ended up becoming a bigger star because of it. We’ll have to see what WWE has planned next for the young Superstar.

What’s your view on what Zelina Vega said? Do you think giving receipts is justified in pro wrestling? Let us know in the comments!
