Ryback’s reputation continues to take a nosedive, and no one wants to have anything to do with him now. This is especially because of his petty and bitter behavior in general, as well as his constant attacks on WWE. Now it appears he took credit for The Shield having the #1 debut in WWE history recently.

Ryback initially got over as a babyface thanks to his incredible strength and no-nonsense attitude. However, he has been constantly critical of WWE since his release in 2016 and has said a lot of vile things about Vince McMahon and Triple H.

For those who forgot, The Shield became one of the most dominant and popular stables in the history of the WWE and truly elevated the statuses of Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. Their debut at Survivor Series 2012 remained one of the best in recent memory.

In fact, WWE recently ranked The Shield’s debut as their #1 debut of all time. Ryback took to Twitter and congratulated The Shield on the accomplishment, before taking all the credit for himself.

Congratulations to The Shield for having the #1 debut in

history preventing me from winning the WWE Championship. Further cements the impact I was able to make in such a short period of time and my ability to help create new stars while also getting myself MASSIVELY over. All great guys 💪 👏 #PhysicalActing #Ryback™️

The Shield debuted by destroying Ryback at the very end of the Survivor Series pay-per-view. Regardless of the way Ryback portrayed it, he did have a role to play in their debut and there’s no doubt about that.

What’s your take on what Ryback said? Do you think he deserves credit for The Shield’s debut? Let us know in the comments!
