Jon Moxley Says Many People Hate On The Elite Because They Hate Themselves

Jon Moxley debuted at AEW Double Or Nothing 2019 and wasted no time in making a huge impact on the company. Almost four years since his debut, Moxley has become a mainstay of AEW. Moxley is also supportive of those whom he respects and it appears he defended The Elite in a big way recently.

Jon Moxley had spoken out about the backstage drama and controversies that have plagued the company since last year. The Purveyor of Violence even went as far as to say AEW has more drama than any place he has ever seen in his life.

That being said, there are still quite a few people he respects in AEW and that includes Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. Moxley has extensively worked with The Elite over the course of four years and certainly knows their worth.

Despite that, there are many who believe The Elite are talentless hacks and don’t deserve to be pushed at all in AEW. While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Jon Moxley addressed those who hate on The Elite. Moxley lambasted them, stating that people only hate The Elite because they hate themselves.

“A lot of people out there hate on the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. We’re obviously attacking them and have our issues with them, but we are not old-ass f—ing bitter dudes with podcasts talking about how the business used to be. We are not that. A lot of people hate Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, and that’s because they hate themselves. It’s sad. There are plenty of people who hate me. I don’t give a f—. I don’t care what challenges you put in front of me or what s— befalls me. I’m very pissed off. I will shove it up everybody’s flying ass. After last year, I have that attitude. Kenny and the Young Bucks have that attitude. It’s us against the universe. That attitude is AEW at its core.”

Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega faced each other in a steel cage match on Dynamite yesterday and tore the house down. That said, it resulted in Don Callis betraying Kenny – allowing Moxxley to pick up the win. We’ll have to see how their feud will progress in the coming weeks.
