Joey Janela has raked up lot of great stories during his time in pro wrestling. He has seen his share of victories and defeats, and that includes a big loss he almost suffered when cops wanted to arrest him for murder.

Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo, and plenty of people celebrated in their own ways. Some drank Corona and had a BBQ, but Joey Janela remembered this day as the 10-year anniversary of a very close call he had with the law.

The Bad Boy logged onto Twitter, and he shared a few tweets that told quite a story. Apparently, someone was murdered next to his car outside an indie show a decade ago. Since Janela wanted his car, the cops thought they’d pin the killing on him.

It’s the 10 year anniversary of someone getting shot dead next to my car after an indie show and me getting stuck in Scranton PA for DAYS as the last episode of the office was about to air and it was like on the news “Office finale celebration in Scranton, also college student shot in cold blood” Almost fired from my pizza delivery job because of it! This was and still my life, besides the pizza delivery…….. Happy cinco de mayo!

I wanted my car so bad that the cops made me a suspect lmfao

I was stuck in Scranton for four days

This was quite a story from Joey Janela, and fans ate it up as well. There were a lot of funny replies, but the overall sentiment is that Janela got out of one close call.

It’s never easy to have someone try to blame you for something you didn’t do, especially if it’s a murder. Thankfully, Joey Janela was able to get out of that tough situation, but he still had to stay in Scranton far longer than he planned.

What’s your take on Joey Janela’s crazy road story? Does he deserve an episode of Dark Side of the Ring? Sound off in the comments!
