WWE Hall of Famer Edge has seen the pro wrestling industry change in many ways throughout his career. Being such an accomplished name, it is no surprise that many people take his opinion seriously. That said, it appears that Edge recently called out some news hosts for questioning his popularity.

The Rated R Superstar is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the pro wrestling world and has mainstream appeal for many fans. This is especially due to his appearance in numerous TV shows such as The Flash and Vikings.

Edge recently took to Twitter and commented on a clip featuring news hosts, which showed off the most googled wrestlers in many states of North America. Edge was revealed to be the most googled wrestler in numerous states.

Edge took issue with the fact that one of the co-hosts did the ‘who?’ routine and went on to question the hosts’ popularity as well. Needless to say, Edge was clearly offended by the clip.

Hey Victor, appreciate the love, even though your co hosts tried to do the “who?”, we’re above all this routine. I don’t see them as the most searched morning hosts in 32 states. Bada boom! But seriously though, to those 32 states? Thank you. Not lost on me folks. Let’s keep havin fun.

Edge revealed that he has about year left in him to compete at an elite level. We will have to wait and see when the Rated R Superstar will be able to make his return to WWE television.

What’s your take on what Edge said? Do you think he overreacted? Sound off in the comments!
