Nikki Cross quickly made a name for herself in the WWE after her debut as she showcased her talents and abilities to fans. She remains a highlight of the women’s division, even if Cross is no longer in the main event scene. Being a pro wrestler, Cross is aware of the hardships one faces in the industry and now it appears she shared a heartbreaking story on social media.

The life of a professional wrestler is a very taxing one, as they have to give a lot of hours every week to live their dreams. Nikki Cross herself had to face a lot of hardships in her own life.

Nikki Cross recently took to Twitter and uploaded an old photo of herself from 2014. Cross explained that while she may have appeared attractive, she was absolutely miserable at the time the photo was taken.

Nikki Cross revealed that she was miserable due to her troubled relationship with food and self-hatred. Seeking therapy proved to be the best decision she ever made, and looking at recent photos, Nikki Cross can definitely see the difference in her happiness.

”This photo was taken in 2014. Yes, I know I look hot and sexy and s**t But I was absolutely miserable. Through no fault of the photographer, the immensely talented Fiona Fraser. She was wonderful in making me feel as comfortable as she could. But I was miserable in this photo. I had a terrible relationship with food. I had a terrible relationship with myself. I hated myself. Going to therapy was the best decision I ever made.

I look at recent photos now and I’m like I look more happy now. Because I am. I didn’t tell people I went to therapy because I didn’t want to look mentally soft or weak. My god, that is absolutely the wrong mindset. Asking for help is strong. Taking the time to take care of yourself is strong. There’s also more important things to life than other’s perceptions of you. Long story short. I’m just saying, please be kind. Be empathetic. Truly, a photo is worth a thousand words.”

Nikki Cross also revealed that she won’t have to leave WWE to pursue her PhD. Regardless, we are certainly glad to see know that Nikki Cross is doing much better in life now and that’s all that matters to her.
