The world of professional wrestling is buzzing with excitement as Mercedes Moné prepares to compete in the New Japan Pro Wrestling STRONG Women’s Championship tournament on May 21, 2023, at Resurgence. Moné, a top performer from CMLL, will be joined by stars from other promotions including STARDOM and AEW in this one-night tournament to crown the inaugural champion.

Announced by NJPW, the tournament features Moné facing off against Stephanie Vanquer in the first round, with the winner advancing to the finals against the victor of the other bracket. All eyes will be on Resurgence to see who will come out on top and be crowned the first-ever NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion. This event will be a great opportunity for Moné to showcase her skills against top wrestlers from around the world.

As of now, the card for the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2 event, set for June, has yet to be announced. Wrestling fans are hoping to see Moné featured in this event as well, possibly competing for a championship title against some of the best wrestlers in the world.
