Ruby Soho made her debut at AEW All Out back in 2021 but has largely not been part of anything memorable for a large portion of her time in AEW. She has competed with numerous stars including even Tay Melo. Now it appears that Ruby Soho accused Melo of intentionally breaking her nose.
AEW All Access is currently one of the best things about the show, as it gives fans a deeper look into the lives of their favorite AEW stars and also a lot of behind-the-scenes stories.
For those who don’t remember, Ruby Soho and Ortiz challenged Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship at All Out last year. Soho suffered a broken nose during her match at the event.
Around that time, reports suggested that Ruby Soho had heat with Tay Melo because of the injury and now it appears that All Access finally confirmed it. During the April 26 episode of AEW All Access, the reason behind the conflict between Tay Melo and Ruby Soho was finally disclosed.
According to Melo, she believed that Soho had no issues with her, but some animosity from their time together in WWE carried over into their current situation. This even led to Ruby Soho accusing Melo of intentionally breaking her nose.
Despite Tay Melo assuring the Outcast member that the injury was an unfortunate accident and that she was unable to undo the damage, Soho seemed to have accepted the explanation. That said, it was also teased that Soho got a measure of revenge somewhere down the line.
Ruby Soho and Tay Melo’s feud ended on the January 13 edition of AEW Rampage, where Ruby Soho teamed up with Willow Nightingale and faced off against Melo and Anna Jay in a street fight. Soho’s team picked up the win in a bloody war. Now it remains to be seen where fans will see Soho and Melo feud again.
What’s your take on Ruby Soho’s accusation? Do you think Tay Melo intentionally injured Soho? Sound off in the comments!
