Finn Balor Sets Sights on WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Finn Balor is a former 2-time NXT Champion and was truly one of the most significant names in NXT. However, neither of his main roster runs proved to be memorable at all. With WWE having introduced the World Heavyweight Championship recently, it appears that Balor is now determined to win the title at any cost.

The leader of The Judgment Day reached the top of the mountain in 2016 after he defeated Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam in order to become the first-ever Universal Champion.

Unfortunately, Finn Balor suffered an injury in that match, which forced him to relinquish the belt immediately at the opening of Monday Night Raw the next day. He never became a world champion after that.

Triple H revealed that new WWE World Heavyweight Championship is on the way and this immediately led to fans discussing who the first champion will be. Balor had already previously set his sights on becoming the new champion during RAW this week. Now he took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of himself with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, making it clear he is determined to win the title.

That said, WWE also has a top candidate for the new World Heavyweight Championship. We will have to wait and see whether Finn Balor will end up competing for the title at Night Of Champions on May 27th.
