Rey Mysterio is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling, and his influence in the industry is undeniable. Mysterio is proud of his heritage and his friendship with the late, great Eddie Guerrero. He also brought back the LWO and now it appears Mysterio revealed why he brought back the stable in the first place.

WWE re-introduced the LWO stable right before WrestleMania 39 and they have been carrying on the legacy of Eddie Guerrero ever since. Fans were surprised to see Legado Del Fantasma turning babyface but they have now gotten used to it already.

Obviously, the LWO was initially introduced by Eddie Guerrero and its re-introduction is a homage to the late pro wrestling legend. That said, fans started wondering why WWE decided to bring back the stable.

While speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Rey Mysterio talked about the LWO’s return after so many years. The Master Of The 619 revealed that the idea was sitting in the back of his head and heart for a long time. Ultimately, he wanted to recreate the LWO due to what the faction stands for.

The idea was already sitting in the back of my head and my heart, that I wanted to recreate this new version of the LWO, most importantly because of the representation of what the LWO means. To have these, my crew together, Del Fantasma, Zelina and myself, we’re a strong crew that stands together. Individually we’re strong as well, but when we’re all together, nothing can take us down. So, I’m completely honored to share the ring with my people and to represent what we stand by.

We will have to wait and see how WWE will continue booking the LWO, as they have been feuding with The Bloodline for the past couple of weeks. For the time being, fans are happy to see the LWO return.
