John Cena has a way with words, and he doesn’t hold back from his promos in WWE. He was fire on the microphone against Austin Theory as they hyped their WrestleMania match, but Theory had a good warning ahead of time.

During that promo on RAW, John Cena lit up Austin Theory, by rejecting his WrestleMania challenge. Cena spoke truths about how Theory is just that, a theory, and he hasn’t proven himself yet. Those words hit home for Austin Theory, and it eventually drove him to pick up a victory over Cena at the showcase of the immortals.

John Cena has battled with several other Superstars on the microphone. They all know what he is capable of, and a couple of them wanted to give Austin Theory a heads-up as well.

While speaking on the Out of Character podcast, Austin Theory said that The Miz and Baron Corbin warned him about what John may say to him in the ring.

“Yeah, you know, Miz, Baron Corbin, sounds like all the bad guys (are who told me to be ready for my in-ring segment with John Cena). They’re just like, ‘Man, just be ready. You’re gonna get thrown out there in some deep water. Just be prepared’ but, you know, I had my cool sneakers on and my shades that he talked trash about and I was feeling good. I was like, I came out here with one thing in mind and I got it. So, you know, telling me people don’t believe in me, alright John. I’m gonna make you believe. I’m gonna make them all stop believing in you.”

We have no idea when John Cena will be back, but Austin Theory is a full-time WWE Superstar, and he used every moment in the ring with John Cena to the best of his ability. In the end, Theory triumphed over Cena, and that is a massive feather in his cap.

What’s your take on John Cena’s program with Austin Theory? Are you glad that Theory won that match? Sound off in the comments!
