WWE has a lot of things in the pipeline, but just because they tease something on television doesn’t mean it will happen. A lot of things can shift around, especially with Vince McMahon back in creative. Sadly, this is the case for the Hurt Business.

The Hurt Business consisted of MVP, Bobby Lashley, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin. Although the stable disbanded in 2022, WWE fans are still pining to see them reunite.

During Wrestling Observer Radio this week, Dave Meltzer was asked about a Hurt Business return. After all, WWE dropped subtle clues about the faction’s return. It appears that WWE has totally dropped the idea.

They have totally dropped it, yeah. Yeah, I mean, we haven’t seen MVP around. We haven’t seen Cedric or Shelton, nothing.

Bobby Lashley appeared by himself on RAW this week, and MVP wasn’t in sight. Right now, MVP is still leading Omos, which could make a very interesting addition to a new Hurt Business lineup.

The former members of the Hurt Business can tease a reunion on social media all day, but that doesn’t matter. Unless it happens on WWE television, it doesn’t count as canon. Only time will tell if WWE gives fans what they want, but it doesn’t appear that the Hurt Business has much of a chance at this point.
