The pro wrestling world is full of talented free agents who could benefit WWE. That being said, the company passed on bringing a few of those people in recently, but a hiring freeze had nothing to do with it.

WWE passed on signing some big names including Jay White, Nick Aldis and AOP. There was some reported interest from WWE, but they didn’t ink any of those people to deals.

A report came out which said WWE currently has hiring freeze in place. That is very interesting, especially considering the fact that WWE and UFC are merging into one company. After all, a company sale is a great reason to keep costs down.

Ringside News reached out to confirm WWE’s hiring freeze, and why the company passed on binging in those talented wrestlers. We were told that WWE passed for different reasons on all of those stars. It was also made very clear to us that, “a hiring freeze is not in effect.”

WWE is apparently not freezing their hiring process during this merger. The fact is that each other those wrestlers listed above were passed on for a variety of reasons, and there are unique explanations as to why they were not brought in.

We’ll have to see what’s next in this situation. For all we know, WWE has a huge surprise waiting for fans in the pipeline. It appears that WWE will continue with business as usual, despite the changing climate.

What’s your take on WWE’s hiring process? Do they need to look for more indie wrestlers? Sound off in the comments!
