WWE has been undergoing a ton of changes since Triple H took over as head of WWE Creative last year. In fact, the changes have all been well-received by fans and pro wrestlers alike. This includes WWE Backlash taking place in Puerto Rico and now it seems Triple H has explained why the event will be taking place in Puerto Rico.

The company would be heading outside the United States for the WWE Backlash premium live event. Taking place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the event is set to have Bad Bunny as the host.

This will be the first WWE Premium Live Event to take place in Puerto Rico since New Year’s Revolution in January 2005. After an overwhelming number of pre-sale tickets, WWE then decided to give its Puerto Rican fans treat with the go-home SmackDown taking place at the same venue as WWE Backlash. Even Bad Bunny made it clear he will not miss the events for anything.

While speaking during the post-WrestleMania 39 Night two press conference, Triple H was asked what motivated WWE to go back to Puerto Rico for a Premium Live Event. Triple H expressed his eagerness to reach out to passionate fans across the globe. According to Triple H, Puerto Rico is no exception to the list of places where they want to perform and noted how their fanbase is very passionate as well.

”We wanna go everywhere, we have amazing fans everywhere and I think Puerto Rico is no different. We wanna go everywhere, where there’s a passionate fanbase to go to, we wanna go there. We wanna get in front of those people, we wanna perform for them, we want them to be crazy. I can tell you right now, if you’re part of a world that has a fanbase and you’re gonna be louder than anybody else, we’re gonna come and deliver for you. To me, Puerto Rico has been something we have been talking about for a while. It has been delayed for a few times for reasons but now it’s the time to do it. But now, having Bunny come along with us for the ride and want to be a part of it makes it that much sweeter for us. It’s like going to Wales, London, we’re gonna go around the globe.”

The company is also making big money for holding WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico. It is unknown whether Bad Bunny would be making an appearance for the potential episode of Monday Night RAW in Puerto RicoWhat we do know is he wouldn’t miss his upcoming return at Backlash.
