Katsuyori Shibata traveled millions of miles to compete for the Ring of Honor Pure Championship at Supercard of Honor. Tonight, the Wrestler became the new Pure Champion.

Katsuyori Shibata took on Wheeler Yuta for the ROH Pure Championship at Supercard of Honor at The Galen Center in Los Angeles. The two opponents battered each other with stiff chops, kicks, stomps and lariats.

Yuta tried to apply a waist lock on Shibata but the international star rolled over and delivered nasty forearm strike followed by a vicious headbutt. Shibata then applied a sleeper before he hit Yuta with a PK Kick for the win.

The win kickstarted Shibata’s first reign as the ROH Pure Champion. The Wrestler raised the brand new ROH Pure Championship belt that had made its debut last night on ROH television show on HonorClub.
