Vince McMahon remains one of the biggest names in the pro wrestling world. He managed to draw the ire of many thanks to his hush-money scandal last year. Despite the controversy, McMahon returned to his role as Executive Chairman of WWE earlier this year and was seen backstage on recent episode of RAW. That said, it seems WWE talent fear that McMahon is back in Creative.

A recent report by Sean Ross Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall highlighted concerns amongst WWE backstage talent regarding the return of Vince McMahon to the company. This is because talent have noticed an increase in last-minute rewrites and adjustments to previously laid-out creative ideas.

This has led talent to question McMahon’s involvement in creative decisions. These concerns have had a noticeable impact on morale amongst WWE talent backstage, with some feeling uneasy about the changes being made to creative ideas.

In fact, the concerns have been so openly discussed that they have even made their way to the locker room of rival wrestling promotion AEW.

It should be noted that there has been no confirmation at this point that McMahon is directly involved in creative decisions, beyond potentially giving input to Triple H, which he had already informed talent could happen. However, despite WWE representatives vehemently denying that McMahon is involved in Creative, the concerns persist amongst backstage talent.

McMahon’s appearance backstage may have been more complicated than initially assumed as well. Regardless, it’s still likely that Triple H is the one calling the shots in WWE Creative.
