WWE once again adopted their old policy of recruiting independent performers after Triple H replaced Vince McMahon as the head booker in July 2022. The new recruits (whether they are in-ring performers or match officials) hone their craft in NXT before they can get to the main roster. It seems that the number of referees on the developmental brand is about to witness an addition.

WWE currently has more than a dozen referees on the main roster as well as on their development system. Match officials such as Charles Robinson and Chad Patton are on the top of the list in terms of seniority. The company recently signed a new referee to a contract.

According to PW Insider, WWE has brought Jeremy Marcus on board as a match official for the white and gold brand. The report stated that Marcus is graduate of the Santino Bros Wrestling Academy. Moreover, he used to officiate matches for NJPW USA.

Jeremy Marcus, a Santino Bros Wrestling Academy graduate and referee for NJPW USA, announced that he has joined NXT as a referee.
