Becky Lynch Hasn’t Given Up Hope Of Defending WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles At WrestleMania 39

Becky Lynch made history by being one of the first three women to main event a WrestleMania. Now, she wants to pull double duty on the grandest stage of them all.

Becky Lynch is set to compete in a six-woman tag team match at the upcoming WrestleMania 39 premium live event. The Man will tag with Lita and Trish Stratus against Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO Sky) on April 1st in Los Angeles.

Becky recently appeared on the Tommy Tiernan show to promote WWE’s biggest event of the year. The one-half of WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion is still hoping to defend the titles alongside Lita at WrestleMania 39 Night 2.

“I’m going in on the first night in a Six-Woman match, and then because I’m tag team Champion, I’m hoping that I will be defending that title on the second night. So, ‘Becky Two-Fights,’ they’ll call me. I don’t know. They might. We’ll try to get that on a t-shirt or something.”

Becky’s WrestleMania opponent Bayley posted cryptic tweet last week after WWE SmackDown that got her fans worried. The Role Model posted a picture of herself with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title belt with the caption, “I’m sorry.”

We also reported that WWE’s original plan for Becky and Lita was to defend their titles against Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania 39. The company was forced to nix the plan due to Ronda’s injury and put her in a “Women’s WrestleMania Showcase Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match.”
