WWE is just a week away from hosting their biggest show of the year as WrestleMania 39 comes to Hollywood. Now, we know which match will kick off WWE’s next big premium live event.

WWE announced during their ongoing episode of SmackDown that John Cena versus Austin Theory will kick off WrestleMania 39 next Saturday at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

For those not in the know, the 16-time world champion will face the youngest Money in the Bank winner for the WWE United States Championship on the grandest stage of them all.

Cena returned to his hometown of Boston on the March 6, 2023, episode of RAW to set up the title match with Theory. The champion is adamant he’ll defeat Cena in front of his family at WrestleMania 39.
