Dragon Lee is certainly one of the most gifted and respected pro wrestlers in the business right now. The pro wrestling veteran has wrestled against the best of the best in the industry, especially in ROH, NJPW, AAA, and AEW. He officially signed with WWE last year, and this was a big shock for many. He already made his in-ring debut recently, but it seems Lee had huge visa issues before his NXT debut.

Fans got to see Dragon Lee in action in AEW when he was part of Los Ingobernables few months ago. As previously reported, Dragon Lee had officially signed with WWE back in 2022.

The former Ring of Honor World Television Champion made his WWE debut at NXT Roadblock earlier last week, where he was simply present as part of the crowd during the six-man tag team match between “NXT” Champion Bron Breakker, The Creed Brothers, Jinder Mahal, and Indus Sher.

Lee also made his in-ring debut last week, during a WWE NXT live event held at the St. Petersburg Armory in St. Petersburg, Florida. He squared off against Eddy Thorpe, who was formerly known as Karl Fredericks in NJPW.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dragon Lee got his visa the day before his debut on NXT television, as he narrowly escaped a huge delay due to visa issues.

Dragon Lee literally got his visa on 3/6 in his hand and then flew himself and his family to Orlando to start on 3/7, and was on the NXT show literally hours after he arrived in Orlando for the first time and worked his first match with the promotion on 3/11 in St. Petersburg against Eddie Thorpe (Karl Fredericks)

At the young age of 18, Dragon Lee began his professional wrestling career. He secured his first championship, the CMLL World Lightweight Championship, in 2015. Throughout his career, he has also achieved the titles of two-time ROH World Television Champion, two-time ROH World Tag Team Champion, and former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. We’ll have to see how he will fare in NXT, now that Dragon Lee has finally arrived.
